Artist
for a Day
For
this citywide event New York Citys most innovative arts organizations
open their employee-only entrances to individuals from the
press, business, education, and civic communities. An Artist for
a Day sees what goes on before tickets are sold for theatre productions,
dance performances, music concerts, and art exhibitions. An Artist
for a Day learns how arts organizations function on a daily basis
by witnessing the different aspects of producing art. At the end of
the day, along with other guest artists and their hosts, participants
discuss the role of the arts in the life of the city at a town hall
meeting.
